Community Involvement

Our involvement in the community is extensive. However, a short list includes the following: Lynbrook Youth athletic Assn., Lynbrook Independent Party, Lynbrook Elks Club, Our Lady of Peace Church, St. Raymond’s Church, Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce, Lynbrook H.S. Mom & Dad Club, Frank J. Becker Academic scholarship, and many other volunteer programs.

As part of its stewardship, the Becker family also has a long history of government service. Frank J. Becker served in the New York State Assembly and then in the United States House of Representatives during the 1950’s and 1960’s. His son Francis X. Becker was Mayor of Lynbrook, and a New York State Supreme Court Judge during the 1950’s through the 1980’s. Gregory R. Becker served in the New York State Assemble from during the 1980’s through the 1990’s, and Francis X. Becker, Jr. is currently a member of the Nassau County Legislature. These are just a few of the many activities of the Becker family, and the list is constantly changing as the family continues to grow.
